You absolutely want Lisa to manage your moving/estate sale! My mom, Joan Smith, died unexpectedly in December, and because I live in Alaska, I had to close up her house until I could come back in June. I was at a loss to know how I would be able to clear her house and sell her things without spending weeks away from home.
Not to worry!
I contacted Lisa by email and she took care of me! We were able to set everything up by phone, and in the end I was able to finish my part of the sorting of personal items in only a week. Lisa did the rest, and I didn’t even have to be there for the actual sale, which was a great relief. Besides being well organized and respectful as noted in other reviews, let me add that she is completely trustworthy. I was able to give her keys to the house and know that she would take care of the property in my absence. She also went above and beyond, getting the receipts to the bank and attorney in Mediapolis after I had returned home, mailing me an album that I had left behind, and putting me in contact with a realtor to sell Mom’s house.
Her fee is well worth the cost, especially considering that she does all the heavy lifting for organizing, advertising and monitoring the sale. I would especially recommend her to anyone who is in my position of having to liquidate a household while living out of state. Anyone who has had to dismantle a parent’s household knows how difficult that is. Lisa helps smooth the process, and I don’t know what I would have done without her! Thanks,Lisa.!

My mom and I attended a tag sale by Lisa Elder in April at the home of Christie Egemo in Mediapolis. Lisa had everything displayed very nicely. Everything was tagged very clearly. She was very helpful in answering questions and helping with loading merchandise. The sale went for three days. The first day everything sold as tagged. The second day was make an offer. The third day was half price. Some items were sold on a silent auction. I really like the way she set this up. Also the ad in the papers was very informative. The signs she had up the days of the sale were also very attractive. I really enjoyed shopping this tag sale and brought home some very nice things. I look forward to shopping more of Lisa’s tag sales.
